Description

Naturally rich in vitamins and minerals, this Goat's Milk Soap Base is a gentle, highly moisturizing formula. Goat's milk is abundant in butterfat and Vitamin E, which gives this soap base a creamy, smooth texture, while Glycerin acts as a natural emollient that replenishes lost moisture in the skin.

Please note that the Goat's Milk Soap may not lather as well as other soap bases. This is due to a natural chemical process, and it does not undermine the effectiveness of the product.

This soap base is completely biodegradable. It does not contain any artificial colours and is not tested on animals.

Formulated with a neutral pH of approximately 7.8, this soap base helps maintain skin's natural moisture balance, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated.

All of our Melt & Pour soaps are paraben, preservative and PEG free.

You may notice some white film at the bottom of this soap base. The white pigment (titanium dioxide) can drop within the soap base as it cools. Simply cut the block of the soap base from top to bottom then re-melt, and mix. This way the titanium dioxide will be even throughout the finished soap bar.

Vegan: no

Melting Point: 127°F/53°C

Working Temp.: 140°-180°F

Fragrance Load: 0.5 to 3%

- for example if using a 2% load add 2 grams of fragrance for every 100 grams of soap
- check on individual fragrance to make sure it is soap safe

How to Use

Melt the soap in the microwave in short blasts or in a double boiler. It is important to only heat until the working temperature. Taking the temperature too high can result in the soap scorching and therefore changing the consistency (it will become rubbery and solidify quickly).

When sufficiently melted add in your colour and fragrance.

Pour into molds and wait until solid. For best results and removal from mold wait several hours.

Wrap as soon as possible as the soap contains water it can evaporate and shrink the bar (shrink wrap or cling film will work). Also, in warmer climates the glycerine in the soap will attract moisture and can leave "sweat beads" on your soap.
