Rosemary is one of the earliest plants used in food, medicine, and sorcery. Used in burial rites and burned at shrines, the ancients believed it drove away evil spirits. The plant itself is a shrubby evergreen bush that grows up to 6 ft. Rosemary has silvery-needle-shaped leaves and pale blue flowers which blossom from December through spring.
